My Teaching Experience

I am a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, teaching group and private childbirth education classes since April of 2010.  I have had the great pleasure of being mentored in childbirth education, including the Birthing From Within method, by Jean Sala, CNM and Betty Hoffman, CNM.  I am passionate about teaching childbirth education, providing special focus on coping measures for labor and newborn preparations – including breastfeeding your little one.

My Birth Experience

I am also DONA trained doula. I completed my doula training in April of 2010. In July of 2010, I was hired by Inanna Birth and Women’s Center in Denton, TX to serve as a Birth Assistant to the Certified Nurse Midwives at their free standing birth center. I am trained and certified in Neonatal Resuscitation and adult and infant CPR.  I have taken breastfeeding courses offered by the State of Texas towards becoming a breastfeeding educator. Currently, I have attended and assisted over fifty mothers with their births.

Rates

My fee for a personalized, three to six-week, childbirth education course is $300.00. I  provide you with education that is uniquely structured to fit your specific learning goals and personal schedule. This fee includes all your learning materials and a workbook.

I also offer a mini-childbirth education course for $150.  This is a three-hour intensive class that covers all the essentials of childbirth. This fee includes all your learning materials and a workbook.
